Immigration & Citizenship Resources
Our commitment to supporting the Napa Valley farmworker community is unwavering. We are honored to be trusted partners to grape growers, wineries, vineyard management companies, nonprofit and community partners, and the farmworker families we serve.
We understand that the current immigration directives have caused uncertainty and concern among many in our community, so we will continue to update the resources below with information as it evolves and becomes available.

Supervisors Resources
Inspections at Work – Fieldworkers and Supervisors
One supervisor should be designated for every crew to interact with outside agencies of any kind, including ICE.
The supervisor should make it clear that they do not have the authority to make decisions on this matter, and they will call their manager who will advise them on how to handle the interaction.
Inspections at Work – Managers
Managers should demand a warrant or subpoena.

Napa County Agricultural Commissioner’s Field Staff Procedures
The Napa County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office is committed to protecting agricultural workers, the environment, and the integrity of our agricultural industry. Trusted field staff—including Insect Trappers and Agricultural Inspectors—work throughout the day across Napa Valley vineyards to monitor for harmful pests and ensure safe agricultural practices are in place.
All field staff can be clearly identified by a Napa County vehicle bearing the official county seal and a visible photo identification badge.
Please note: Staff from the Agricultural Commissioner’s Office will never ask about anyone’s immigration status and do not work with or share information with agencies that enforce immigration laws.

The Family Safety Fund supports local immigrant children and families who are in crisis as a result of punitive policies that damage family cohesion and stability. The Fund will help a family to meet their basic needs, like support for their children, housing, health care and food, and access to legal or other professional services, when they have experienced sudden adversity, like losing a family member to deportation, loss of work, or loss of health insurance. The fund aims to alleviate some of the harm to children who are impacted by separation from parents or other household stress resulting from hardships the family is facing. Families who need support should contact UpValley Family Centers at 707-965-5010.
